The MFF Farrier Team
All members of our team maintain membership in the American Farrier’s Association and the Land of Lincoln Horseshoers’ Association and actively pursue continuing education opportunities through these and other affiliations.
Steve Sermersheim, CJF TE, AWCF
A lifelong horseman, Steve graduated from Michigan State Horseshoeing School in 1989. Having achieved the highest level of certification within the American Farrier’s Association, Steve continues to pursue continuing education opportunities. He recently travelled to Great Britain, where he completed rigorous testing to obtain Associate recognition in the Worshipful Company of Farriers. the world’s longest-lived farrier association.
He completed his Therapeutic Endorsement through the AFA this spring. In addition to his work at Middlefork Forge, Steve plays an active role in the AFA, where he serves as an approved Tester for the certification program.
In 2010, Steve served as a Supervisor for the Official Farriers at the World Equestrian Games. In 2012, he will serve his fourth year as an Official Farrier at Rolex. Occasionally, he finds time to use his USTRA card and just rope.
Bobby Ordner, CJF
An AFA CJF and a graduate of Kentucky Horseshoeing School, Bobby joined the MFF team in 2009. An active competitor in AQHA and NRHA reining, Bobby is pursuing his Therapeutic Endorsement through the American Farrier’s Association.
Diego Almedia, CJF
An AFA CJF and originally from Racife, Brazil, Diego is a graduate of Midwest Horseshoeing School. A lifelong horseman, Diego competes in dressage and jumping.
Jeremy Miller, CJF
An AFA CJF, Jeremy has been shoeing horses for more than 15 years. Jeremy has travelled extensively throughout the U.S. , shoeing Arabians and National Sport Horses and serves as an official farrier for many national events.
